The JumpSTARt Lunch is simply the logical extension of an idea two local entrepreneurs had to keep their businesses fresh and moving forward.
It all started with two sisters who were simply looking to give one another support.
One sister had recently moved to Albuquerque and found herself rebuilding her consulting business. She still had many happy clients but unfortunately her business required personal interaction and her clients were now many miles away!
The other sister had been living in Albuquerque for many years. She also owned a business which was in need of support. In her case she didn’t move, the customer moved. When her biggest customer closed their doors in Albuquerque, to shift more of their work offshore, she found herself in start-up mode again.
They decided to make a point of meeting every Monday mid-morning, sharing a bite to eat and discussing and helping one another with their businesses. It was a great way to start the week, getting energized and excited about their businesses and sharing information they had learned during the week.
At some point they decided it was working so well they shouldn’t keep it to themselves. They decided to start inviting other entrepreneurs to the meeting and the JumpSTARt Lunch was born.
