Oct 18th Meeting and Future meetings

Since attendance at the meetings has been pretty slim I think we will be taking a bit of a break from JumpSTARt. I would still love to get together with any of the members to discuss ideas and ventures. Also if you are not coming to the meetings due to schedule conflicts feel free to suggest an alternitive time and/or venue.

Oct. 4th meeting

I will be hanging out at the usual time 11:00am to 12:00 noon tomorrow Oct. 4th at the Flying Star at Corrales Crossing. I would love to talk about my venture which involves facilitating entrepreneurial efforts and education through video. Speaking of which, following is a short video just to get you thinking of the possibilities.

Sept 20th – In The HOSPITALITY ROOM a bit EARLY

Please NOTE we have a couple of changes for this meeting.

We are meeting a bit earlier at 10:30 to 11:30 and we will be meeting in the Hospitality Room again.

Why the changes? First the time change is to accommodate a group meeting after us. We pushed our time up a bit to 10:30 and second Dan Stouffer will be doing a presentation on developing communication skills so we need the room and the audio visual equipment.

Aug 16th Meeting – Web Based Video Marketing

*** Please Note *** We will be meeting a bit earlier than our usual time this coming Monday Aug. 16th. Actually anyone who wants to come at the usual time or stay later is certainly welcome. However, I will be arriving at 10:00am or a bit before to find a table and will have to leave a little after 11:00.

The theme for the meeting will be “Web Based Video Marketing”. In other words how can we leverage the popularity of online video to enhance our businesses. Since humans are so very visual oriented it’s no surprise how pervasive video is becoming on the web now that more and more people have access to high bandwidth internet. So let’s talk about how this fits into our business models.

Aug 2nd Meeting – Getting “The Jazz” back

The theme for our August 2nd meeting was supplied by Caralee Valdez, although she didn’t realize it! She recently sent out an email to each of our members about keeping your energy up and getting “the jazz” back into your feelings about your business. I thought it was a great theme for these dog-days of summer. How do you keep excited about your business? Let’s talk about it at the next meeting. Hope to see you there… Flying Star on Corrales Rd. just north of the Coors/Alameda intersection. We aren’t renting the room these days just finding the biggest table and staking a claim.

July 19th meeting

Yes, it’s already the 3rd Monday of July tomorrow! We are still meeting informally at the Flying Star on the first and third Mondays of the month. Hope to see some of you there at 11:00am. I will try to get there a bit early and secure a table. Topics will depend on who shows up. I know we are all busy with new projects so there should be room for some interesting discussion.

July 5th, Meeting and Congrats on New Endeavors

Our next meeting will again be held at the Flying Star (Corrales) on July 5th. We are no longer meeting in the hospitality room but simply finding a table. Well it seems that some of us have declared our independence early!

As for myself, I have just about wrapped up the sale of my production programming equipment and I am back to doing the design and development that I truly love.

I would also like to congratulate Dan on his independence! What do I mean by that. Well, in case you missed it Dan gave a presentation last week. As a long time member of Toastmasters and member of the board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters Dan has had many opportunities to present. However this was different. It wasn’t Toastmasters it was just Dan doing his thing under his own company banner. Congrats Dan!

June 21st Meeting
